The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

If you liked The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers, you won't be disappointed by The Return of the King: 3 hours 20 minutes of epic, breathtaking scenery. 3 hours and 20 minutes of magic.

As in The Two Towers, the film is based on the correspondence between the battles between the men and the armies of Sauron and the inner struggle of Frodo the Hobbit, torn between the attraction of the ring and his sense of duty and friendship. The battle scenes, violent and spectacular, are like the translation of the conflict that inhabits Frodo, constantly tempted to give in to his impulses. The character of Gollum, pathetic and emaciated, constantly reminds the spectator of what awaits Frodo if he succumbs to the destructive power of the ring.

In Return of the King, the plot elements that have been put in place previously are given full force as the denouement approaches: the journey of Frodo, Sam, and Gollum is as gripping as the great battles that rage in Middle-earth. My bitten fingernails can attest to this.

In 3 hours and 20 minutes of the film, there are many emotionally charged scenes: the beauty of the city of Minas Tirith competes with the strength of the gigantic battle scenes, which themselves compete with breathtaking shots... Like the moment when the fires of the kingdom of Gondor are lit one after the other in an astonishingly fluid movement. Fans will be disappointed by one thing: the ending, which is incomplete and lacks information, so you'll have to wait for the long version or read the book! You be the judge
