"A Prince in New York 2": Eddie Murphy regains his crown

Eddie Murphy has returned! Craig Brewer's Un prince in New York 2, which will be available on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, demonstrates that the actor is always up for a challenge. He reintroduces his future sovereign character, created in 1988 under the guidance of John Landis for new escapades.

« The appeal of revisiting the characters after so many years is that they've had time to mature,' says the director in the film's press kit. Eddie Murphy's king returns to New York with his right hand (now played by Arsenio Hall). What is your mission? Recovering the trône's heartier, which the prince has been missing for years.
There is a slew of African-American actors in this film.
Jermaine Fowler (of the terrific comedy Sorry to Bother You) gives the character of the offspring who discovers Zamunda, the imagined African nation over which he should govern, a delightful vitality. His entrance will cause a flurry of activity because he will have to learn the rules and rivalries of this new universe. A brilliant cast of African-American actors, including Leslie Jones, Kiki Lane, Tracy Morgan, James Earl Jones, and Wesley Snipes at their best, bring humor and tenderness to the show.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of A Prince in New York 2 is seeing Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall's makeovers again. Mike Marino, a magician known for his work on Martin Scorsese's The Irishman and Jim Jarmusch's The Dead Don't Die, created stunning make-up for the film. The players take on the roles of barbers, old men, and churchgoers. Laughter and magic are assured!
