Encanto

Each member of the Madrigal family, who lives in the secluded mountains of Columbia, possesses distinct powers ranging from superhuman strength to the ability to communicate with animals. Even their home has magical abilities and a distinct personality. There is one exception, however: Mirabel (voiced by Stephanie Beatriz) has not been given a present, but this does not damper her enthusiasm. Even though she stands out from the superpowered family, she is still a joyful young girl who does her share to keep things in order. The Madrigals' amazing lives, however, begin to unravel when Mirabel has a weird vision of the house crumbling, which predicts doom for them all.

Stephanie Beatriz is a revelation as the voice of Mirabel, the protagonist who doesn't appear or dress like a normal Disney princess. Beatriz's portrayal of a misfit girl on the point of becoming an outcast because she's so unusual is both honest and refreshing. Mirabel discovers her lineage as well as hidden truths as she maneuvers through the family's colorful dynamics. Lin-Manuel Miranda provides us with engaging tunes throughout the film. The songs feature Mirabel's eccentric family members, each with their own individual personality thanks to the cast's outstanding vocal skills. Despite the character's little screen time, John Leguizamo is a scene-stealer as the enigmatic uncle Bruno. Maria Cecilia Botero is widely remembered for her portrayal of Abuela, the loving yet severe matriarch.

The film's message about finding one's true purpose in a world where others appear to be having flawless lives will resonate with everyone, despite its familiar beats. 'Encanto,' amidst its brilliant and bright animation, honors the family's archetypal black sheep. This is Disney's 60th animated feature, and it is unquestionably one of their most pleasant and rewatchable. 'Encanto,' a clear contender for the animated film of the year, is brimming with enough humor, vibrant visuals, endearing characters, and catchy tunes to captivate spectators of all ages.
